Fontana has come a long way since its startup days in 1978, when Frixos Papadopoulos and his wife Maro first introduced the flavours of their homeland to the Swedes. What started with exotic juices on a small scale has today become a household name for food and drink from the Mediterranean region.

Fontana has always been focused on high quality products and over the years we have created a large collection of tasty recipes to help bring the best Mediaterranean flavours to your own kitchen!

We remain at our core Taste Seekers – we travel all over Greece in search of the best produce and tastiest food. We love seeing our finds – like our olive oil, feta cheese and haloumi – end up on the supermarket shelves here in Sweden.

Some of our journeys end up on film. In the video below you can see the founder of Fontana picking olives on the Greek mainland. And then from the olives we extract the so called liquid gold – extra virgin olive oil!.
